The Roosevelt Campobello International Park provides tours of the 34-room Roosevelt cottage, and historical displays.
Artists Joyce Morrell and Michael Chesley Johnson maintain galleries on the island. Mr. Johnson gives weeklong workshops in outdoor painting in both oil and pastel from his Friar's Bay Studio Gallery.
The Summer Keys concerts in nearby Lubec showcase artists in training.
The informal “Black Socks” provide open-to-all jam sessions every Monday in Dennysville.
Live theatres are active in Eastport and Machias.
St. Andrews by the Sea, in Passamaquoddy Bay, is a famous summer colony, with elegant estates, local museums, tourist attractions, and fishery and ocean research establishments.
Churches serve the area

Besides the Lupine Lodge, there are several restaurants on the island and in nearby Lubec, and many more in the Passamaquoddy Region. Fresh seafood is plentiful.
One can shop in a range of stores and gift houses, on either side of the border.

Both the Roosevelt Campobello International Park and the Herring Cove Provincial Park provide many miles

The nine-hole golf course at the Herring Cove Provincial Park attracts visitors from far and wide, with its spectacular and challenging course and its friendly clubhouse.
Lighthouses abound. Head Harbour (East Quoddy) lighthouse on Campobello is one of the most photographed in the world. Other scenic lighthouses at Lubec, Grand Manan, and up the New Brunswick shore attract many painters, photographers, and other visitors.

Fishing off the wharves, from a boat, or in the island trout ponds charms many visitors.
Polite visitors can sometimes prevail on island fishermen to let them watch the seining of a herring weir, a scenic spectacle that no one forgets.
Sailors and sea kayakers can enjoy the waters of Friar’s Bay, other island areas, and the many coves and bays of the Canadian and American shores.
Ferry trips to Deer Island, Eastport, and Grand Manan Island are pleasures in themselves, en route to enjoyable destinations.
